Our History

The business concept for Crazy Clubs, Inc. was started back in the late 1980's when Gary Alexander - the President of Crazy Clubs - started designing and building one-of-a-kind novelty golf clubs as gifts for his friends, family, and golfing buddies.  In the early days of conceiving and producing these very cool and humorous golf clubs, they were primarily considered "gag" gifts for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions where a truly unique and "Crazy" golf related gift was warranted for a special person.  As time went by, the word spread and more and more people wanted to have a "Crazy Club" of their own or wanted to give one as a special gift to a friend or family member who was a golfer.

Over the years, many of these one-of-a-kind clubs were built and given to people as gifts and the themes that the clubs were designed around covered a wide range of different subject matter.  The club themes covered everything from golf game dysfunction's and bad habits to clubs that were of the X-rated variety - and almost everything else in-between.

Historically, the creative design and production of Crazy Clubs was nothing more than a fun distraction and hobby for Gary - who is a twenty year veteran of the information technology and software industry.  But in 2002, Gary started to think real hard about ways to take more control of his future and destiny - including the possibility of starting his own company.

That same year - as fate would have it - Gary decided to make yet another one of his infamous Crazy Clubs for a golfing buddy and neighbor who was celebrating his 50th birthday.  His golfing buddy was a big baseball fan as well as an avid golfer so Gary decided to make a club that had an integrated baseball theme.  The finished club was named The "Go Yard" Club™ and his golfing buddy just loved it !  So did many of the party guests because they all wanted to know where to get one!  While walking home that evening from the party, a business idea came to Gary faster than a nasty snap hook off the #1 tee.  Why not develop and build a business around the Crazy Clubs concept.  The rest is history...

In 2002, Gary and two co-founding partners started Crazy Clubs, Inc. based out of Cary, North Carolina.  Under the Crazy Clubs™ brand, the company offers a complete line of high quality novelty golf clubs that are sold through this web site as well as through retail golf specialty stores, golf pro shops, and other Internet commerce web sites.  In addition, the company also offers a complete line of Crazy Wear™ apparel and accessories that are sold via this web site.  Last but not least, in recognition of the companies roots, the company also offers a custom club design and production service for customers who just gotta' have that one-of-a-kind Crazy Club.  These custom clubs are also sold exclusively through this web site.
